Asbestos Cancer  most often refers to Mesothelioma.,

What is Asbestos?

More than 21 million workers had significant asbestos exposure when working with or near asbestos products before the mid-1970′s .

Because asbestos fibers remain in the lungs, each exposure to asbestos dust increases the likelihood of developing an asbestos disease.

Besides mesothelioma, there are other medical conditions associated with asbestos exposure, such as lung cancer and asbestosis.

Asbestos has six primary sub-classifications.
These are
  1.  Chrysotile,
  2.  Crocidolite,
  3.  Amosite,
  4.  Anthophyllite,
  5.  Tremolite,
  6.  Actinolite.

Asbestos-related lung cancer occurs inside the lungs.

A very important characteristic of asbestos-related cancers and diseases is the long delay, or latency period, between the asbestos exposure and the onset of disease
